Taxation of Carried Interest - Novare Pay Consulting x DLA Piper
Novare Pay Consulting and DLA Piper joined forces for an in-depth seminar on the Swedish Tax Agency's re-examinations linked to profit sharing, so-called "Carried Interest" within Private Equity and how it can change fund structures going forward.
On March 20, we joined forces together with DLA Piper for an evening on the topic of taxation of carried interest.
Johanna Sommarlund, Partner in Novare Pay, problematized the effects on compensations in the financial industry and how the view of performance-based compensation and incentive programs may change.
Thereafter Erik Björkesson and Karin Attorps, partners at DLA Piper, provided guidance on the background to the Swedish Tax Agency's review decision and how it affects taxation for affected individuals, as well as their view on whether the structures for carried interest might develop in the future.
We want to extend a big thank you to everyone who attended. Your enthusiasm and questions turned our seminar into an engaging evening with insightful discussions!
